Sixth Form at AGS

The Sixth Form at AGS is a special place to study. Students are treated as young adults in a supportive environment. Class sizes are small which means we know our students well. We have committed and specialist staff who provide students with specific, relevant and personal advice when it comes to choosing course combinations and offering study support. Form tutors are dedicated to providing daily support and guidance. High-quality pastoral care and support are central to what we do. Our Sixth Form perfectly mixes the balance between the academic and pastoral to ensure that students flourish here.

What privileges do you have?

  • You have access to a Common Room – a social and study space only for Sixth Form Students.
  • We allow you to leave at 12.25pm if you have no further lessons
  • You are able to leave the site at lunchtime
  • We have a more relaxed (smart-casual) dress code
  • You are able to drive to school should you wish

These are privileges, which can be withdrawn if you are not making acceptable academic progress or not following the school values of Kindness, Respect and Community

Enrichment Opportunities

We offer a range of wider activities for you to take part in. These activities support learning, develop skills, add weight to university applications, are a good form of socialising and look impressive on any CV!

Leadership Opportunities

Members of our Sixth Form Leadership Team work with the school Senior Leadership Team, Heads of Year, School Council as well as their Sixth Form peers, helping shape the direction of the school. They are ambassadors for the school and act as role models, promoting the school values of Kindness, Respect and Community.
